Ōryōki

Labor, work is an important part before we go and have breakfast and make that a part of our practice.

And in fact, those of you who have sat a one day sitting here have had Oriyoki meals where we're turning this very mundane, everyday thing of eating into a ritual that hopefully, once you've practiced a little bit at it, is also incredibly beautiful.

I strongly recommend coming and the day before doing some training, we have an hour of, of Orioki training so that you know what you're doing when you come and have Orioki with us downstairs in the Zendo.

But it's just a really beautiful way of doing this thing that we usually just kind of, you know, rush through to get our food.
