So, you know, I think the Heber Kimball, um, instance, that's not crystal clear, but, uh, we do know that Smith marries Marinda Hyde, um, wife of Apostle Orson Hyde.

Orson Pratt alleges that Joseph proposed to his wife.

So I don't know, I may or may not be interpreting the dream correctly, but if you're Brigham Young, why wouldn't you worry about that? And to me, that ...

Um, Young is still with several of the other apostles in Boston in mid-July, but everyone is back in Nauvoo, um, in early August to stake their claim to lead the church going forward.

And I will also just add that Brigham seems pretty clear about, um, the path ahead.

So he's at a meeting with the, with, um, Wilford Woodruff, Heber C. Kimball, uh, Orson Pratt, Orson Hyde in Boston, and he tells them that God prepared all things, gave keys to men on the Earth, and...

Or excuse me, um, he, Joseph, prepared all things, gave keys to men on the Earth, and said, "I may soon be taken from you." So, you know, essentially, we are the men who have the keys in Joseph's absence, and we are prepared.

that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left from Assyria and from Egypt, from basically in the islands of the sea.

And that's exactly what happened, right? Joseph Smith sends Apostle Orson Hyde over to Israel to dedicate the land for the return of the Jews.

And ever since then, the Jews started coming back.

1948, state of Israel is officially established and set up as fulfillment.

It had nothing to do with milk.

Uh, Marsh, along with Orson Hyde at the time, becomes disaffected because of Joseph's leadership of the church in Missouri in 1838, particularly his, um, militancy, his decision to, uh, direct, uh, offensive military operations against non-Mormons in Missouri.

That is the reason for Marsh's disaffection.

So as, as, uh, apostles start defecting, and as, you know, Thomas Marsh, and is it Orson Hyde-

And William McClellan is there, our school teacher.

Orson Hyde, a new convert.

And then Luke and Lyman Johnson, the children of the family that are living here in the farm.

And they appoint a Joseph and this committee decide that they will publish the Book of Commandments.

The first part versus one through 12 roughly are given to four of the elders at the conference.

Orson Hyde, Luke and Lyman Johnson, who are the sons of John and Elsa Johnson, whose home the conference is being held in, and William McClellan, who's mentioned in the previous context of

the revelation.

So it seems like these four approached Joseph Smith on the first day of the conference.

So there's the, there's the backstory a little bit, as far as we know.

Now, should we dive into the content of the revelation?

In the first part of this revelation, responding to the four inquiring elders, the Lord begins by addressing my servant Orson Hyde, who had just been baptized and ordained an elder the previous month at age 26.

The Lord explains that Orson was called by his ordination to proclaim the everlasting gospel by the spirit of the living God from people to people and from land to land.
