So the next one is Valda I Duken and she is one of the few queens we know of.

She ruled during the Storm Age and she is the one that forged a very important trade agreement with Emperor Etienne I of Orlais.

She gave him a Bronto trophy to commemorate the event and you can find this mounted trophy head on the wall of the Winter Palace in Dragon Age Inquisition.

interesting i didn't read this as a trophy first and so i read this as that like he was gifted or she was gifted the uh she gifted etienne a bronto and then etienne like cut its head off and mounted it which would track for orlay

And he ruled during the Blessed Age, building on the foundation that Queen Valda built.

Baron, along with Grand Duke Gratien Valmont, made an expedition to the Deep Roads in 831.

This vastly improved the relationship between Orlais and Orzammar.

And so, like Queen Valda, King Beren gave a trophy to the Grand Duke.

But then it's like, is Wicked Grace a TCG where it's like, I have my Wicked Grace deck.

feel like, one, we can't blame everything on the writing, but I feel like we can blame a lot of stuff on the writing.

That's probably them just kind of forgetting, but it's also not... really the forefront, to be fair, because in Inquisition, obviously you're trying not to die, but you're kind of focusing on trying to save Ferelden and Orlais, because that's the brunt of where most of the things are going on, at least where you are.

So, I mean, it makes sense to me, lore-wise.

They definitely should have commented on it, but mechanically.

do wonder if it would be a little bit more well-received if it was... a less centralized institution like if we got to see more of a difference between how the Chantry is in different countries like if we're going strictly on Orlais their version of the Chantry makes me ill because of how racist they are towards elves but I feel like Ferelden even though they do have elf racism it is society in general so I feel like their chantry would reflect that

Well, and it's really important to hear, and I think that this is where it kind of goes into, is that, like, in Orlais, like, the Chantry and the political landscape of Orlais are so much intertwined that it is in Ferelden.
