Orgasmo

Mm

... which included Orgasmo, So Sweet, So Perverse, Quiet Place to Kill, and Knife of Ice, and then they did that, what was it, 2021 release of, um, The Fourth Victim.

So for the remainder of the '60s, Italian thrillers appeared sporadically rather than the dozens that would follow once Argento's Bird with the Crystal Plumage properly initiated the boom, still two years away or so when Deborah goes into production.

Deborah itself predates the Lindsay Baker cycle of Orgasmo, So Sweet, So Perverse, A Quiet Place to Kill, and Knife of Ice by most accounts.

Its commercial success in Italy is what set that cycle running in the first place.
