There are nearly 80 authorized, uh, certifiers.

[laughs] Some of them are more familiar to us than others, like we've had CCOF on the podcast a couple of times, and my retail life started in Portland, Oregon, so I know Oregon Tilth.

Um, but there are so many, and so learning that, but also of course there's a ton of bureaucratic paperwork at the point at which the USDA owns the standard, but then it's up to an, a totally different, you know, like farm or store to live up to that standards.

I mean, not rationalizing bureaucracy, but just nod to the, uh, the difference between certifying and setting the standard.

Yeah.

So I work more-- So I'm working with Oregon Tilth on our, on our certification.

We'd had our inspection recently and just waiting to hear back about that.

And they have their standards, which I think at, they at least meet, they may even exceed the, uh, USDA organic standards, and so they have me monitor ammonia.

I could not afford to travel around the world.

But I had, you know, I had been involved in the founding of Oregon Tilth back in the 70s.

They were just getting going.

Now they're known as a certification agency.
