Ordinary Angels

Well, also on episode 247, I reviewed Runner.

So I wanted to know out of War Machine, Playdate, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare and Ordinary Angels, which is the Tosi's favorite Alan Richson movie.

If I know you, Dennis, it's definitely going to be War Machine, right?

It's poor.

I've seen half of these and

I've seen I wish I didn't read three of the four.

uh let me let me tell you war machine sucked play date sucked ministry of ungeneral warfare sucked i saw my mother was watching ordinary angels the other day i'm like is that that alan richson guy in this this little angel studios movie it apparently was i was surprised by that yeah uh but let's see what the old the toasties had to say why are they old and every time i'm saying this i don't know because maybe they're old 0% for Playdate, so kudos to you guys for having a little bit of taste.

Alan Ritchson, who's been in a ton of action movies over the last several years.

He plays Reacher on the Prime Video TV show and was also in the faith-based drama Ordinary Angels with Hilary Swank.

He was very good in that.

So you get a vibe of all of his past projects in this movie, Runner.

he was in a movie in 2024 called Ordinary Angels with Hilary Swank, and it was quite saccharine and good, and he plays a small town single dad whose wife died-

... and he's got a daughter who's got, uh, an illness, and she needs an organ transplant, and he's gotta get her to a hospital in the middle of a snowstorm, apparently based on a true story.

Spider-Man Homecoming, which is available on multiple platforms, is at number eight.

Then we have The Devil's Mouth, a movie on Amazon at 5.2 million hours watched, and Ordinary Angels in the top 10. at 4.6 million hours watched.

These were the top watched streaming shows for July 27th to August 2nd.

The number one streaming show in the US was The Big Bang Theory at just over 19 million hours watched.

So maybe that's not really the Christian one.

But then there was one called Ordinary Angels that certainly was Christian.

Yes.

That's right, that was a Lionsgate movie.

[laughs] [trumpet sounds] Um, okay, I got two things.

One is we watched Ordinary Angels on Netflix.

Kinda popped up there.

Really good.

Mm-hmm

... at action movies." And it's funny because i- in general, he was in a movie called Ordinary Angels.

He's really good in it.

He's not believable as, like, the mo- as, like, this down-on-his-luck dad.
