Um, the International Boxing Association is financed by Gazprom, the big Russian state-owned, uh, energy behemoth.

Um, according to ProPublica, in the weeks before the wedding, Kremlev, this oligarch, was in China with Putin as part of the delegation, and also recently got bestowed with the Order of Friendship state honor.

And then lastly, Kremlev's wife's sister runs an organization called Healthy Fatherland that is sanctioned in Ukraine for its role in Russia's abduction of Ukrainian kids, like, the most evil part of an evil war.

Um, and so they run the story.

Now fast-forward a few years, this is the type of thing that would've felt like to investigators, if not a smoking gun, a very significant thing to investigate.

And I want to emphasize that Umar is not just some casual acquaintance of Vladimir Putin, okay? This is a guy that this year was awarded Russia's Order of Friendship.

Think of that as kind of like the Presidential Medal of Freedom, one of the highest orders Putin can bestow upon him.
