Orchard

Yeah, very much so.

Orchard, just reflecting on the orchard, this year we've lost at least 12 mature fruit trees, which is unheard of.

We normally lose one or two over a year just because of neglect, but 12 established mature fruit trees lost.

And that's because people haven't been able to get up to their fruit trees as often as needed to water them, to keep them alive.

Phil actually was a childhood friend of my husband and has been out in Colorado in the Palisades area, which if you know anything about this part of Colorado, it's kind of like the Garden of Eden.

So even though Phil's background is as an engineer, it's definitely been very advantageous because he owns, he and his wife, Peach Fork Winery and Orchards.

And so obviously the whole issue around orchards in this area is not only is really around water and he's given me such great insights over the years on some of the blogs I've written so we've had a chance to he's taken the peaches are are picked and so Phil has a few minutes to talk so Phil thanks so much for for the conversation and we've already had a great tour and I think it's important that people realize you know in my part of the country as you well know anything on the on the east side of the mississippi we've been drowning in water and of course on this side it's anything but the uh an issue so not only are people talking about drought but i just think it's fascinating and actually challenging how you grow your crops, your vineyard and your orchards because we're not getting a lot of water out here.

So I think the fact of, from an engineer standpoint, but also to understand, how does water get from the river to your orchards? Because it's a little more complicated than just what we're used to.

We have had that.

It's all set up for Orchard.

It was previously Orchard, but it was pulled out under the previous owners.

And we've just put some temporary fences up, leased it out.

or adjusted it out.
