We talked a few days ago about the corruption of the tax increment financing tool by Cleveland and Orange V- Orange Village.

But today, we are noting it's not the residents of Orange who are to blame, it's the mayor, and the residents seem ready to ride him out of town on a rail.

What's he doing to make the cash grab we've been talking about there even more reprehensible? Laura.

This is a commercial TIF, tax increment financing district, that they want to pass on top of the residential one for the townhomes, because in addition to townhomes, there's this commercial area with shops and restaurants covering about nine acres at Harvard Road and Orange Place called Via Galleria.

This is right near Pinecrest, so they're hoping to just add on to the shopping mixed-use center, and they want this TIF.

But at a meeting on Wednesday night, opposition boiled over.

They should be speaking up in Cleveland as well.
