Operation Dudula

So we've devoted a lot of time talking about what's been going on in South Africa.

So right now in South Africa, we've got the aftermath of the March on March, Operation Dudula, and the anti-illegal immigrant marches.

You know, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, Malawians, Nigerians, Somalis have all been affected by this.

But I want to say something that a lot of people might find surprising.

That's why you see March and March.

That's why you see Dudula.

That's why you see many narrow movements that advocate for localism, that advocate for nationalism, to the exclusion of people from beyond other borders, and not just borders from other countries that were given by colonialism, but borders of provinces.

Shanganese, vendors, songers, and other people are called foreigners in March and March.

He's also the president of Jiusa, which is the General Industries Workers Union of South Africa, and also an attorney at Lawyers for Human Rights.

I'll also be speaking to Roland Smabula, who is a former member of Operation Dudula, by the way.

He was a leader of the movement in Rustenburg and also an artist who's now, in fact, part of Siafana Sonke and have contributed to supporting and helping women vulnerable migrants who have either been intimidated out of their homes or made the decision that maybe it's safer for me to go back home.

And also those who've taken the opportunity to hop on a bus because they haven't been able to afford that bus ticket for many, many years for some.

If you sympathize with Black South Africans, uh, as a party, uh, then I'm for you.

And, and, and I, uh, and ANC, DA, EFF have dismissed people like me and those like people who are with, uh, organizations like Operation Dudula and Marching March.

So that's why we, we, we speak over each other like this because even me, I don't have time for a person who, who tells me they are voting EFF, 'cause I feel almost a sense of hate when Julius is talking about, um, South Africans like me.

You know, when he's mocking us, um, and, and, and, and I feel like parties like DAs, they don't have time for, for what we, we, we were calling for.

They expressed dissatisfaction at the magistrate's ruling, saying the court is deliberately delaying the matter.

We feel like they are buying time because these are two different cases.
