Top tip, don't try to run credit searches manually.

Use automated landlord platforms like OpenRent, the NRLA, Referencing Service, or Goodlord.

For a small fee, these platforms...

Handle the data protection, ping the credit agencies, checking for CCJs, bankruptcies and active credit scores and send you a unified pass fail report.

Yeah.

Remember that, um, there is a website called OpenRent, and you can get, um, references done there.

I have to say with serviced accommodation, I only let people stay in the place who have got reviews.

Well, finally, Teresa, what would you say to those 30% of landlords who really value that direct relationship they have with the tenant and they perhaps just want to pay £99 to use OpenRent or one of the online portals and they really don't want to have an agent kind of between them and the tenant and also they may feel that these fees are just getting too high.

I understand that and I think you've got some landlords out there that do a very good job.

and they do have a good relationship with their tenant.
