Photo Suite also supports automation through a parser and playback engine for Photoshop action files, JavaScript and JSX scripting support, and a plugin system where extensions can be written using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The format support is extensive, including PSD, PSB, PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVF, TIFF, GIF, OpenEXR, SVG, PDF, EPS, Illustrator files, Adobe XD documents, Sketch, Figma, Gimp XCF files, and various camera RAW formats.

Photo Suite is built as a Tauri2 desktop application with the editor using HTML five, WebAssembly, and WebGL within the system WebView, while a Rust-based host handles tasks such as file system access, native menus, dialogues, clipboard operations, and printing.

The application is designed to run entirely locally without cloud components or telemetry.
