She helped me.

On my first year in wrestling I came second in OFSAA, which is like the best in Canada.

Wow.

And I was just like, the coach was very happy.

[laughs] Like, he let me on team.

[laughs] Like, you know? But like that was my first experience in wrestling.

But even coming second in OFSAA, I didn't think I was good in wrestling because most sports I was able to understand the, I cracked the code, like understand the fundamentals of it.

In wrestling I couldn't.

Um, I guess we should touch on the fact you left during a really interesting moment, right? It was COVID.

Um, grade 10 finished with us in Windsor at OFSAA, and after a tough loss in the finals, the silver medal, we drove back and that was the march of, of the start of COVID.

We never came back.

What was it like to finish your time at Crescent in such an uncertain and kind of different moment?

I felt like still applying myself, whereas I feel like most of my friends, at least in the sports world, were just ChatGPT-ing everything and not learning a lick, so that was good to see.

But, um, yeah, it was obviously kinda sad to not be able to play as a grade 11, grade 12, and obviously I had to make the decision to leave in grade 12, but I think that was mainly due to the circumstances.

But I will say also our loss in OFSAA grade 10, right before COVID struck, um, it felt like a college program.

Like the end of that season, I f- I remember guys crying in the locker room and stuff.

So it's like North Haltons.

And off I ended up being in OFSAA.

And there was a coach there from Etobicoke Husky Striders who basically said, "This girl, she's born to run.

She should be running.
