Onomastics

I think it's pretty clear I am not a Greek scholar, a scholar of the ancient myths, but I have a passion for them and have for a long time.

So I have it up on a paper, you can see the episode notes, that explores the onomastic attributes of Demeter, often called, quote, Demeter Thesmophorus, which is related to a cultural, practical, agricultural rite that I will share in a few minutes.

But for definitions, onomastic, this was a new word for me, which is always cool doing this podcast because I'm learning.

And this word, onomastic, refers to the study of the origins and forms of proper names, personal names, place names, divine epithets, cult titles, ritual names.

There's lots of scholarship on this.

I guess you can always make a profession out of something.
