Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams

Right? Part two, the book of water or natural flexibility.

Released on September 4th, 2026, Onimusha Way of the Sword is the first entry in a series that has lain dormant since 2006's Dawn of Dreams for the PlayStation 2.

It is a third-person action game built on the studio's RE engine, and their third such game this calendar year.

In the game, you control the world's latest fictional representation of Miyamoto Musashi, this one physically modelled following negotiations with the estate of the man, after the aforementioned Toshiro Mifune, and intellectually and emotionally, seemingly, of a cross between your typical swaggering anti-hero and an angry, sweary golden retriever.

... it's an awesome one.

And then because I'm too poor to buy Onimusha: Way of the Sword, I went onto the PlayStation catalog and have played a little bit of Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

Now, what is that like?

It is fun.

Yeah.

Uh, Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams.

Dawn of Dreams.

Hm.

'Cause I noticed that, and we've known that about Capcom forever, but when Onimusha 4 came out, um-

Yeah

...

But, um, it's not quite as fast-paced, and what I mean by that, it's, it's like your basic movement isn't quite as, like, quick and...

Obviously, it's not the tank controls, but they didn't have that for Dawn of Dreams, but I think it was really well done.

I think it's, it's not, it's not as hard as, like, say, a Souls-like.

Um, but it's still really satisfying.

Um, I knew the O- new Onimusha was coming out.

But I never beat Dawn of Souls or Dawn of Dreams, I think it's called.

And, uh, I jumped into that 'cause I'm like, "I'm gonna beat that game." This game sucks.

Last one was a PS2 game.

It was Onimusha Dawn of Dreams or something like

that.
