Onimai

It's...

Most notably, the character designer, Ryo Imamura, was also the character designer for Onimai, and I think he brought a fair amount of the animation staff from there to here with this new show, even though this new show... is at Passione, whereas Onimai was at Bind.

I'm curious.

I've heard some people talking about episode two, which we haven't seen yet, but I've been told it has some like Shaft style, like just unfinished scribbles put in and stuff, which makes sense because the director, Naoyuki Tatsuo, is from Shaft.

terrible...

This show is good.

I think it'll scratch probably a bit of a similar itch to Onimai, where it's just going to be over-the-top fan service comedy.

I'll be curious to see if it has a similar level of pathos that Onimai ended up having.

Passione.

But it turns out almost the entire team that is working on this one, um, uh, was recently added to the studio and were headhunted from whichever studio did, uh, Onimai.

This is basically the Onimai, uh, guys again, uh, which, you know, makes total sense.

A very similar animation style, animation quality.

Um, uh, I could see a lot of that, like, stylistic crossover present, and, um, when I saw the trailer the first time, I instantly, like, thought like, "Oh, that kinda looks like that weird, um, body swap anime about the, the loner that gets turned into a anime titty girl."
