One, Two, Three

Editor Daniel Mandel, who'd been with Wilder since witness for the prosecution, returned to Andre Previn, who scored one, two, three, was back on the team as well.

Wilder clearly didn't like assembling a new team for every job.

And sure as the sun rises in the east, Doane Harrison, the one-time editor who had taught Wilder how to compose with the camera, was back on set as associate producer, a title that really meant right-hand man.

Little White and White?

No, it was, I don't know if it was in black and wh- Oh, I watched, Mike, I watched a movie you would've loved.

[laughs]

It's been out of print, and I finally found it on a cable provider.

It's a James Cagney movie from 1962 called One, Two, Three.

And it is a-

1962, he was probably in his 60s.

It was his last movie before he did a, uh, a period of retirement because he was disappointed he couldn't-

So Avanti is number four, so that's before Avanti.

I'm going to say one, two, three.

Is number nine.

Right, so just for a one, two, three then would be The Apartment.

Is number ten.

so after 1, 2, 3 what's that movie with that guy from the apartment and Dean Martin's in it as well oh god it's going to annoy
