One Crazy Summer

It's a mix.

So when you watch that movie and think about his other movies, I remember when I was a kid, One Crazy Summer, favorite movie.

I mean, I couldn't get enough of that movie.

And Better Off Dead, those were like, once I was done with Ernest and getting into the next bunch of movies, that's what it was.

And I feel like the ski stuff kind of, and the summer camp stuff carried over a little bit further.

So we'd have like a lot of like ice skiing or water skiing shit that was still like kind of a weird kind of save the camp stuff, like One Crazy Summer as well.

So it's like that stuff kind of carried over, but it's like definitely a mixture of the TNA and the save the summer camp kind of shit, Ernest Goes to Camp, all that stuff.

But, uh, it, it's, it's more rated R than like Meatballs 1 or 2.

[laughs]

What I do like about the, uh, Scooby-Doo Ghostbusters is that the blonde guy looks just like the dickhead son from, uh, One Crazy Summer, and I'm kinda here for it.

[laughs]

[laughs]

[laughs]

But today we are going over One Crazy Summer.

Came out in 1986, starring John Cusack.

Uh, it's actually directed and written by Savage Steve Holland, who also did Better Off Dead, which came out right before this.

Yeah.

What are we watching?

One Crazy Summer.

I was gonna say action movie, but-

Ghostbusters.

Uh, One Crazy Summer.

[laughs] That one's not as good-

One Crazy Summer.

I don't think it's in ...

I, I like that, but it's not in the same category.

What?

One Crazy Summer.

One Crazy Summer.

One Crazy...

Yeah.

Um, but-

One Crazy Summer?

One Crazy Summer was really good, too.

Yeah.

Um-

Ah, right.

Man, yeah, that's a g- that is, that's a good movie.

That, that one and One Crazy Summer.

That's one thing we're missing in comedy is there's no more fat jokes.

I was watching One Crazy Summer the other day.

I was in that movie.

Sam's in that.

You're in it.

And I was like, And she's like, no, no, there's a director's cut.

There's no director's cut of One Crazy Summer.

But she swears that there's this other cut.

He showed up...

I remember seeing him in One Crazy Summer, which is maybe my favorite '80s comedy, period.

Of course.

Uh, just playing that dopey, "Hey, guy." He's just so great at that, like, almost cartoony, lovable...
