On the Hour

So let's talk our history with the day today.

It was created by Armando Iannucci and Chris Morris as an adaptation of the radio programme On The Hour and it was broadcast on BBC Two between January and February 1994.

So when did you first watch the show and have you heard On The Hour?

I have heard a bit of On The Hour but I didn't hear it at the time.

On The Hour was broadcast in 91 and 92 and the day today is January 94 that it was transmitted and I watched it live.

I think I saw the whole series live.

It was weird looking back on it because we were so very young.

I went through the entire season and I was like, I kind of want to keep it special.

I need to have this clear in my head.

He gave me the cassettes of On The Hour and Knowing Me, Knowing You, I think in 1993.

So just after the Knowing Me, Knowing You radio had been out.

And I didn't actually realise that Alan... had his own show before the day-to-day.

I always assumed that just came after.

So when the day-to-day came out, I was so excited because I knew that Alan was in it from the clips.

And I knew that it was on the hour, but on telly.

Then there's this like glut of Alan.
