On Divination in Sleep

Yeah.

In fact, Aristotle, for one, uh, he wrote On Divination in Sleep, and he was skeptical of the idea that, of prophetic dreams.

He really turned the thinking of its day on its head when he proposed that dreams weren't messages from the gods at all, but simply the stuff our minds do while we're sleeping.

This is another incredibly fertile ground for a grift, like you said.
