Omnivore Recordings

There's another similarity.

I was talking with Cheryl Pavelski, former Milwaukee and co-founder of Omnivore Recordings.

And we were talking about she loved the 82 Brewers, had all these great memories, loved Robin Yount because she was a shortstop, too.

But she said, remember, we play sports and we play music.

That's where I met her.

And she's a musician now, the co-founder of Omnivore Recordings.

And Cheryl was my guest a couple of weeks ago when this playoff run had just begun.

And the National League Championship Series was heating up with the Brewers.

Yeah, because that's how I feel.

I mean, every time they turn a play that changes the tempo of that game again, I just go, oh.

She is Cheryl Pavelski, founder of Omnivore Recordings, and she spends her time preserving the legacies of so many different styles of musical artists.

So that's why I really valued her opinion and what she would pull out of her hat for a Brewer's Playlist.

They seem to be the only ones.

Before Rhino and Omnivore.

A lot of big things are going to

come out there.

There's another similarity.

And Seymour Stein was known.

for punk rock and new wave and that kind of thing and he did not care for that sentence at all and i am told things did not go well at that point and the whole deal blew up and i became a person without a country again so then of course as all listeners of course know because they are so familiar with my story uh then we went to memphis we recorded the album third and i was promptly signed by omnivore records who was at that time distributed by Warner Brothers.

So even though it went sideways, it still kind of came out the same general distribution way.

So it was curious.

So you'll hear from Garrett Mitchell's mom in just a minute here.

And, uh, then, uh, Cheryl Pavelski, Milwaukee native, and is a co-founder of Omnivore Recordings.

She has been on What's on Tap before because she is a multiple Grammy Award winner because her focus is preserving the legacies of music artists.

So, uh, she's been out on the West Coast for a bit, but she loves the Milwaukee Brewers.

About 7:35 is your chance to call in to win those free Jay Leno tickets.

But first, you can take the gal out of Milwaukee, but you cannot take the Milwaukee out of the gal.

Cheryl Pawelski has taken her love of music from her Milwaukee roots all the way to multiple Grammy Awards, and she's the co-founder of Omnivore Recordings, which is a label completely devoted to preserving the legacies and catalogs of musical artists of all styles.

No matter where Cheryl's career takes her, her hometown pride and love for the Milwaukee Brewers have never faded.
