Omnibus edition

And it's interesting, too.

I'm reading from the Omnibus edition, and they always kind of change and tweak the colors a little bit, which sometimes doesn't seem to bother me at all.

I guess depending on the mood I'm in, sometimes really annoys the hell out of me.

We'll get to that in the next issue, 12, because they really change the color on the covers and not for the better.

I think that was their combi that got destroyed too, their purple Scooby-Doo-mobile.

Oh, the Mystery Machine.

Yeah, I mean, it looks pink when it's getting blown up in the Omnibus Edition here.

It looks red, but it's a great scene.

So I'm doing a bunch.

For the last Kickstarter we did, Where Monsters Lie 3, which is being collected in Omnibus next year.

Look at him go.

Look at that guy.

Yeah.

I despise that.

When we were doing Where Monsters Lie, the publisher was like, can we announce the Omnibus? And I was like, you cannot announce the Omnibus until people have books in hand.

You cannot announce it.

No.

And so, but you would understand maybe if the Omnibus, you would understand it a bit better if the Omnibus was like, I don't know, the first one, the fourth one and the fifth one.

But to have one, two and three in the second edition is strange.

Funny, when I was a kid, I loved it when you could get an Omnibus because it's like multiple books for the cost of one.

Now I hate them.

Yeah, I don't like them.

from what I recall that is a very well regarded story really yes I remember like when geez I don't know if it was another Cassandra Cain collection or not but I remember people being upset this wasn't included in some collection relatively recently huh

people people are really hot for this like era Cassandra Cain stuff I know you guys don't keep up with this shit at all but um there's like a yearly like an annual poll for the most wanted like Marvel and DC Omnibuy and this year the most wanted one for DC was a Cassandra Cain Batgirl Omnibus.

Maybe it was last year.

This is a step towards that.

Okay.

Yeah.

And DC's been double dipping in a lot of this stuff, releasing a Finest version and an Omnibus version.

They're doing the same thing with Great Darkness Saga, actually.

this one.

And in the 1970s, I mean, this story has since been reprinted, that original in Masterworks, Omnibuses, that sort of thing.

But those are recent.

You know, for decades, this issue of Invaders was the only way to read that old Captain America story.

and there's a there's a few people in there who are just sort of like famous to this small group of of collectors uh for doing cool stuff

yeah uh herm's the goat um but yeah uh so i got one of 40 down uh at least a new hope doesn't have hank green that would also probably be very difficult so yeah so uh but no that was fun and happy to kind of get that rolling i also uh again i'm not reading it but i got my mail in over the past two weeks in my dark droids omnibus which of course i had to get the d squad version of it uh this thing is enormous

geez oh because it also it has like the ending of all those stories right

That is the crossover.

Anyways, some other kind of interesting news items.

I was looking through Attach and recently, because we've talked about the star wars 1977 collection that they're doing uh it's very expensive it's 200 hours for 23 issues and also a bunch of unit like text like describing the history of everything which is cool that's very expensive um especially when you compare it to a marvel omnibus that's like usually 125 to 150 dollars and it has like 35 40 issues so yeah it's Um, anyways, while I was stumbling around on their website, I discovered that there is a limited edition version of this already very expensive autobus.

It looks sick.

And I'm going to read, I think I'm going to reread the full series before part two comes out.

Do you have the omnibus? Yes, I'm pretty sure I do.

Because there are three Omnibuses.

If I don't have the Omnibuses, I will be buying them from In Stock Trades because I'm sure they have them on.

The Omnibuses are awesome.

I mean, they've got everything.

It's, you know, there's a Nightfall Part 1.

There's the Night Quest 1 and Night's End 1.
