But that's the lone source of leverage for Durant because Sacramento's interested, and that is a team that potentially next year could offer him the money that he's looking for.

Now, it still wouldn't be what he's eligible for to make here in Detroit, but that's just the team that's shown interest, and I think that's why they're the team that we've heard pop up in reports the most because it's been a pretty quiet market otherwise.

And it does feel to me, Omari Sankofa, that when you think about, like Brendan Hayward came out and he said that he didn't want Jalen Dern to miss out on $190 million that the Pistons are offering just because he's looking at $208 million that the Rockets gave Amon Thompson.

And he mentioned the injury factor, right? You go out there on the qualifying offer and something bad happens, or you go out on the qualifying offer and you don't play really, really well.

Feel like I could see them anywhere from the top of the conference to the middle to the lower portion of the playing field.
