Omar Khan

I don't know.

Omar Khan feels like he's about to just be petty as petty can petty.

Because the non-injury designation, if you don't play, that's not with a contract, brother.

You don't get to do that.

I mean, and there, and there is a strain, even if he doesn't say it's a strain, it is something because, you know, if you feel like you're not getting paid your worth or you're not getting valued, you know, at what you feel is a market value is one thing.

But at the end of the day, there does have to be compromise on both sides and trying to figure out where that is, where that number lies is for his agent and for Omar Khan and company to figure out.

But the fact that he's there, he's showing up to practice.

He's he's in the building and he's making himself available.

And ultimately, with the same team as here, with the same personnel that is not competitive in this league right now, and I'm going to sound a bit ketzy right now, and maybe this is the start of my island.

My eyes aren't just on Omar Khan anymore.

He's currently failing.

And unless something changes this season, he needs to be out of here.

Even though we should have drafted Jackson Smith and Jigba.

But don't at me.

What frustrates me, Gav, is that Omar Khan, in the desperation of having not done that and picked a guy that we just traded for a third rounder to the Cowboys, has then gone out and signed an aging veteran that doesn't fit the mold of what we need on the team.

But he did.

Like, did Joey just wake up and say, "All right, this is over"? Did Joey have a conversation with somebody, whether that somebody's Omar Khan or his agent or Jalen Ramsey or his dad or whoever, and just, like, that conversation opened his eyes that he should be out on the field and he should change his attitudes toward this? I don't know, but it does feel like something changed.

His attitude in that change.

The fact that he acknowledged that he wanted it to end changes.

Nobody's invested more draft capital in their offensive line yet.

over the last three years than the Steelers it's kind of been their emphasis since Andy Weidel and Omar Khan took over the draft and you know they've they've had three first round tackles they had a second round center they had you know some some other a fourth round guard a seventh round guard they've you know they've invested a lot Jennings Dunker in their third round So there's been a ton of investment.

You kind of expect this thing to finally hit its stride and start looking like at least a top 10, if not top five unit.

And right now... man, are they probably looking like one of the worst offensive lines in the league.

I'm sure it is for him, and I, I'm not sure how the team feels too much about it.

But, like, the fact that his teammates are there in that press conference, it's such a weird dynamic, too, because these are players on a team under Mike McCarthy, under Omar Khan, under management, and they're kind of...

I felt s- it was like speaking out against those above them, like, i- in that sense.

Do, do you get what I'm saying there? Does that make sense to you?

This group has to be stronger.

To your point, Omar Khan and Andy Weidel, the front office guys, the GM and assistant GM, this has been their baby, the offensive line.

If this group fails, it is going to have a huge ripple effect across the organization for the Steelers.

And to me right now, at one and one, I don't want to say that this – I'm not saying this whole season comes down to this game, but this is a game where – If you're if the guys that you've been invested to are going to step up, it'd be nice to see it now to so that to show that, hey, this it's not going to be a downward slope from here because you get the Browns on Thursday night football.
