Omaha Storm Chasers

Yeah, I was supposed to do a Moo game many, many, not many years ago.

It was at an Omaha Storm Chasers game, and that game got rained out, Well, that game ended, and it was postponed, and I said, let's go check out Fremont, but they had canceled their game

already.

It's a great little town.

I'll use an example of where it didn't work, and that's in Omaha.

Now, the Omaha Storm Chasers built a stadium clear out west in a cornfield, thinking if you build it, the commercial property will come.

There has been zero commercial development around that stadium.

I shouldn't say zero, but very minimal.

And he said, "Well, Jack," he, this is at the old Om- uh, Rosenblatt Stadium in Omaha, Nebraska, where they played the College World Series.

Omaha Royals' Triple A team were playing.

He goes, "Well, Jack, I think you called a really good game." He goes, "I only disagreed with one pitch." He goes, "To be honest with you, I think you're too smart to be an umpire."

So it was a Friday and Saturday.

We actually drove out after work on Wednesday, drove west, stopped in the Quad Cities area, stayed the night, and then went to Des Moines to check out the Iowa Cubs host the Omaha Storm Chasers.

We hadn't been there since we were in Des Moines in 2008 for our friend's wedding.

So we figured it's probably time to go back to another game.
