Well, this time just known as Esther Phillips.

And that comes from what I reckon to be one of her best albums, Esther Phillips Sings, with arrangements by Oliver Nelson, Ray Ellis and Jimmy Wisner.

And that was a track that is called It's Alright With Me and that came out on the Atlantic Label sometime in the late 60s there.

She had a long career and that was about mid-career.

He was a member of the George Hudson Band that was based here in St. Louis, I believe, back in the 1940s.

Ahmad Jamal was a pianist in that band, and Mr. Oliver Nelson was the alto saxophonist of that band.

Oliver Nelson was a St. Louis native.

He died of a heart attack back in 1975.

Now, Ahmad Jamal also influenced Miles Davis.
