Just tell us a bit about playing alongside Harry and, and what he's brought to the team, not just on the field, but off the field as well.
2:28
Yeah.
2:28
Oh, mate, I just love playing with him so much.
2:30
He's just such a, um, an energy giver.
2:34
He, he wants to do the team things.
2:36
He wants to defend.
2:37
Um, but after seeing him kick a goal, I reckon he might wanna swing forward.

He didn't have to do a whole lot, but he was still influential when it mattered.

28:14
[laughing] Yeah, there's a lot.
28:16
I, I always wanna tell you what, what needs to improve as well when you're after a loss.
28:20
But, um, yeah, no, it's interesting.
28:22
It's interesting when you sort of just walk down the street and, um, you know, you get a couple of people come up.
28:28
But I, I'm, I'm pretty low-key.
28:29
I, I like...
28:30
It sort of depends where you put yourself.
31:55
But what are your impressions of him as someone that you now work with as opposed to someone you used to play against?
7:34
But what are your impressions of him as someone that you now work with as opposed to someone you used to play against?
7:41
Yeah.
7:42
Um, I've...
7:43
I guess I've had some really quality leaders over my time.
7:48
Um, and the way that sort of I've noticed Crippa, um, I guess, deal, um, help sort of steer this club in the right direction is through a certain period of time, like seven weeks.
7:59
We couldn't get a win.
8:00
It was, it was very impressive, like, the way, um, we just kept it simple and, and kept believing that things would, will turn, and, I mean, it was definitely the, you know, the front of that.

How do you beat them? Just give us, uh, something you think you'll have to take off them.

You feel like, it looks like you've really settled.
2:30
Yeah, thanks.
2:31
Yeah, I've just, you know, my whole mentality is playing my role.
2:36
I've got a very specific role at the footy club and which helps me understand and sort of break down what I need to do and when I'm not doing it.
2:44
But yeah, that does help with some of the ball movement and stuff and then also I've got to be on defensively as well.
2:50
But yeah, I'm really enjoying my time here and I'm just happy to be out there with the fellas.
3:55
Did it take some readjusting on the run? I
3:58
think, you know, we're not really thinking about that as players.

3:11
What have you made of it all? 'Cause have you had time to sort of sit back and reflect a little bit?
3:16
Yeah, I think, um, I've had a great time.
3:20
Even, even the, at, at, in the hardest moments, I think you sort of build your character when, how you sort of stand up for yourself and, and not take, you know, no for an answer.
3:30
And I think as a whole collective, like we were, the score, the, the results didn't sort of show, um, our energy and what we brought to the club every day.
3:40
And, and I'm, I'm actually really not surprised w- we're in this position right now because we've put so much work in and just held strong to our values as a football club, even in these really tough times.
3:50
So, yeah.
speaker_0HOST
5:22
Um, have you had time to think back about it at all and, and the journey that you've been on? 'Cause it's been a wonderful one.
5:27
Yeah, it's been amazing.
13:52
[laughs]
13:52
... um, me and Will.
13:53
But yeah, it was, it was very interesting because m- or my mindset, um, in South America was to stay, and getting the call, um, you know, Paul Connors was very much, "You gotta take this call." And initially I was like, "I don't wanna take the call.
14:07
I know who it's gonna be." But, um, you know, the call happened and, um, I, I sort of had two, three, two weeks to make a decision whether I wanted to move back or I didn't have to, 'cause I was contracted for the next four years.
14:18
So, um, I had one of my good mates also, who's a massive Carlton fan, with me, so he was-

Has that been a decent focus? Because kicking, what, 15 odd goals against the Lions is a pretty good return, something he only did three times the year previous.
22:27
Yeah, I think sort of with the, um, the forward line, it looks really dynamic with the sort of players we've got down there.
22:33
A little bit, um, players who can play tall and play small, and, um, that gives us more avenues to goal as well with the options we've got.
