It didn't need to be like that.
A
16:21Adonis StorrGUEST
It could've been somebody like McBurnie, for example, who has started off the season really well at Hull, who is not a flash player, who i- p- you know, might not have been expecting to start or whatever.
A
16:34Adonis StorrGUEST
I'm not saying him specifically.
A
16:36Adonis StorrGUEST

World of Football Update | Sky Sport UK Football Journalist Ben Ransom (11/9/26)

Ben, in a place like Hull, where football probably is such a key focus and it is part of their day-to-day life, were you kind of feeling this success? It is a very poetic and romantic way of looking at things, but given they are back in the Premier League, they've started so well, was there that kind of buzz about town?
B
2:03Ben RansomGUEST
yeah i think there was i mean look you know i've not been to the training ground i worked out since when steve bruce was manager so that's going back a fair few years now and that shows where they've been because they've been obviously out of the premier league for a long time and that kind of thing but but yeah absolutely like the you know the owner this new owner has obviously really caught the vibe of the town i mean the crowds have been up for a year or two the you know the atmosphere is bouncing in the stadium and then even around the training ground there are a few kind of fans hanging around at the gates wanting autographs and that kind of thing which you know EFL clubs you don't see a great deal of so yeah I think there is a bit of a feel-good factor and you're right it makes a massive difference to to a town or a city like Hull because they I've seen it at Burnley over the last kind of 15 years or so and it can really change the mood and the landscape of how everyone feels and I think no I think you can get a little bit carried away by the emotion of it they had their day out at Wembley, they got the win in the best possible circumstances with that really late Ollie McBurney goal and now they're loving life back in the Premier League.
R
3:01Riccardo BallHOST
Yep, the only team in the Premier League after three rounds not to have conceded a goal which when you looked at how they went last season is absolutely amazing but let's turn our attention to This weekend in the Premier League, and of course the big dance ticket is the Manchester derby.
