Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball

Like, the scheduling's a little bit different than when I was at St. Louis before.

But, yeah, we'll – that'll be a great tournament, just like when we went to Palm Springs last year and played Grand Canyon and Mississippi.

So, yeah, it'll – Some good tests.

I think we have, before Thanksgiving, it's kind of a tough stretch.

But...

Drew in the, uh, stream, he says, uh, "Ole Miss is number eight in game control, and seventh in strength of record." If those are accurate, those are really good numbers for Ole Miss heading into tonight, 'cause the strength to record's only getting better Saturday.

So just be aware of that as we, uh, we move forward on that.

Uh, reminder, we, little bit of a test, a little bit just kind of see.

He changed a lot about that Chicago defense.

Not only did he put up some stats himself, but he opened up a lot of, uh, avenues for other players as, as would be expected on a, on a Bears team that's suddenly very much a Super Bowl contender.

But I saw this from Courtney Cronin, and this is a year that, I mean, this was o- one of Ole Miss' big time recruiting classes The end of freeze.

So she posted this, um, I'll read it here.

It begins in the beginning of November, which is right when we're finally seeing a clear playoff picture for college football.

We know what each team's path is.

We're in the middle of Heisman conversations.

We have hot seat talk going on.

Coach is getting fired.

And then all of a sudden you wake up and you look at your phone and your favorite team's basketball team is playing a game that day.

We've got college teams.

Tipping off around the country.

So, We'll see how it goes.

And Ole Miss was in a dogfight with UAB just a couple nights ago in exhibition land.

So, all right, best case, worst case.

Honestly, their best case is the second round of the SEC tournament, I think.

I think this is a team, if they could get near 500 at the end of the season with their record, I think that would be pretty good for what they have.

Obviously, there's going to be some restless people in Columbia if you see that again, but I really think that's about all they could hope for this season.

Then let's talk about the Ole Miss Rebels and good old Chris Beard and company.

A team that really, really fell apart last season.

Yeah, I mean, basketball is not meant to be played in dome.

It's meant to be played in arenas.

That's why the game last week or two weeks ago, I've lost track of time at this point, but Ole Miss and Alabama played that game in Boutwell, and it was like a big high school arena.

It was awesome.

That scares me a little bit.

The Travis Perry experience for both Kentucky and Ole Miss was not so enjoyable.

So I'm curious to see what they do in the back court.

It just, if you're Grant and if you're Dayton, if you have a tournament level team, which in this new expanded field, I do think is plausible.

But

it could be entertaining.

There were some entertaining moments last year at Ole Miss.

I mean, kind of the top was kept on it for the most part by Chris Beard.
