I, I, we saw "Old Henry" at the festival, and he-- That movie was so much better than I thought, and that's kind of what you're talking about, where you find these little gems where it doesn't really seem like it could be something, and it just totally surprises you.

That one sticks out in my, that one sticks out in my mind r- at least recently, in the past handful of years.

Um, Motorcity is the third movie I've seen now from this director, Paco Zarzuela, and- He did Old Henry.

Actually, I could, but only because of the movie Lord of War with Nicolas Cage and Jared Leto.

He's a gun runner who, like, once the USSR falls, he starts just fucking moving guns out of parts of Russia and the former USSR.

But at one point, Jared Leto gets a fucking kilo of coke and disappears forever.

and they find him and there's this giant glass table and he has drawn the ukraine out of cocaine on this table like it's probably one of my favorite scenes in any movie just hey i love cocaine but i don't do it anymore because that shit will kill you now and i'm almost 40 i can't do that anymore you know maybe if i was like rich and famous and blah blah the electric bill don't care if you love cocaine they care about getting paid when the fucking electric bills do and mine was over 300 nowadays

Tim Blake Nelson is the quintessential contemporary character actor turning up his memorable supporting roles in films and shows.

But he got to play something new here, the leading man.

But when he's forced into the middle of a dispute, his son, which is played by Gavin Lewis, begins to realize how dark the old man's secrets might be.

Nelson is as reliable as ever.

Scarface 1983 say hello to my little friend when the combustible elements of Al Pacino and there's a picture of him director Brian De Palma and screenwriter Oliver Stone are mixed at a high velocity explosions will follow freely updating the 1932 bootlegging gangster classic to the coke-fueled era of the early 1980s Miami Scarface gives us some of Pacino's most operatic overacting, and that's saying something.

I mean, a perfect example of that is, uh, this tiny little movie I did four or five years ago in COVID, uh, end of COVID time, like four years ago, I guess.

Uh, Old Henry.

It was a Western, and I, I did it and it, you know...

I've gotten like f- 50, 100 texts in the last 24 hours, uh, in LA [laughs] about this movie 'cause I guess it w- it's number one on Netflix.

And I'm like, "What?"

Which one? [laughs]

And it's called Old Henry.

And no, and it's actually a brilliant movie.

Netflix, it's their number one or number two movie.

Like Spike Lee, but only with Netflix.

he won't talk at all so this movie old henry it's a western and i wish i remembered the guy's name for you guys i'm a horrible podcast host but uh over jack now that ain't it it's got a real weird kind of weird looking guy uh it's on netflix old henry look it up he ends up being a gunslinger like it's good I totally didn't expect it.

They did a good job with the little trailer of not showing you.
