But what I inferred from what you said earlier is also that Britain's strength, one of its strengths, is that there is a, a cadre or a group of people who are infused with and sustain the sorts of values that would've been thought of as public school values.

That in broad terms, a country with a healthy number of Etonians, Carthinians, and Wykehamists is a stronger country.

My f- problem with that is that my theory doesn't match very well with reality.

Because what I actually found with, uh, people like Boris Johnson, is the terrible sense that he didn't actually share my vision of these things.
