So, uh, what else? Oh, [laughs] the...

So today was this, this morning, or it still is, uh, was sign up for, uh, what the Oklahoma Conservation Commission on, uh, drought assistance.

I hear they was lawn chairs and all kinds of stuff going on over in Beckham County.

Some people were there at 6:30 waiting in line 'cause it is a first come, first serve deal.

To combat problems, state officials approved to open $2 million in drought mitigation funding.

Although there are a host of programs to help offset losses, Trey Lam, Oklahoma Conservation Commission's executive director, says the funding is for water needs like cleaning out ponds or drilling wells.

Try to keep the people in business because if you don't have water, you've either got to haul it, and that's expensive and not possible for some people, or you've got to sell your cattle.

Recently, the drought has received more attention and prompted water conservation notices from cities.
