Oklahoma City Comets

Um, but yeah.

So the, the, the, the minor, like you could very much look forward to Tulsa Drillers and Oklahoma City Comets baseball, uh, this upcoming spring.

Yeah.

Uh, he also, um, you know, would have been-

Mason led the team to a ninety fifty-eight season and an International League Championship.

The Oklahoma City Comets of the Pacific League beat the Red Wings for that Triple-A championship.

Mason has been general manager of the Red Wings for thirty-two seasons.

He was previously selected as Triple-A Executive of the Year in nineteen ninety-six, nineteen ninety-seven, and in two thousand and twelve.

That's not how this works.

So for all those people out there that were crying and, and, and pounding their, their desks because Josué Tocalla got sent down, Josué Tocalla got sent down so he could get valuable at bats at Triple A, which he did, and help the Triple A Dodgers, OKC Comets, go win a championship.

He start...

He further developed down there, got at bats, got a big escourbase hit, got to play in high leverage, high intense postseason games down at the Triple A level, while TEO, who's much more important than Josué Tocalla, and Ohtani, who's light years more important than Josué Tocalla, got at bat.

Big congrats to them.

The Oklahoma City Comets on the other side in the Pacific Coast League.

Um, pretty cool to see teams celebrating, but especially see teams celebrating, in Rochester's case, something that has been a very long time coming, Ben, and has been, we talked about this last week, a very long time coming in a place that has hosted professional sports for longer than almost anywhere else in this country.

Yeah.

And yet, they went almost 30 years without one.

So you gotta be around a l- a long time when you can simultaneously, like, have nearly twice as many titles as any other team, but also go through one of the longest droughts in all of Minor League baseball.

baseball. And then on the Pacific Coast League side, it's the Oklahoma City Comets, the Dodgers' Triple-A affiliate.

Um, you know, we've been talking pretty much all year about how loaded that Dodgers farm system is.

Trash man.

I apologize if I missed it, but have you guys had the call for the Oklahoma City Comets winning the AAA championship? Yes, we had it.

And unfortunately, it was very underwhelming because they won it on the road.

And the play by, I guess, I don't know.

But first, let's get to the first move.

The 2026 minor league season is fully complete, wrapped up with the Oklahoma City Comets.

Yep, Comets.

They're newly named Comets.

The Dodgers AAA team winning the AAA National Championship game.

That also means it's award times at Baseball America.
