Ohio State Buckeyes men's basketball

And today we are talking the draft sleeper guards that you need to know in the 2027 NBA draft.

draft again part of a two-part series and we are starting things off with a guy who you've probably heard me talk about before but i am just unbelievably high on this player we are talking john mobley jr for ohio state um ohio state played their first game against byu and let me tell you folks john mobley showed me Basically everything that I was hoping he would show me this year.

Look, elevator pitch, sell me this pen on John Mobley Jr.

First thing you need to know, this is an all-world shooter.

You know, those are not great numbers.

Um, They're not, like, I don't think detrimental given his other skills, but, like, he's just not going to be super disruptive off the ball.

Also, like, Ohio State last year, you know, they played a lot of 1-3-1.

So, you know, you're not necessarily seeing a ton of him, like, rotating over to the low man and playing, like, in a, you know, a shell.

Until that got uninteresting.

And then I watched more intently the Ohio State basketball until I fell asleep on the couch.

So I saw a little bit of the start of the Monday night football game as I was out to dinner last night.

And then when I got home, I had that on until the Buckeye Hoops came on.

When that television deal got done and everyone was lauding, oh, it's an NFL package, you're on three networks.

He was like, hold on a second.

I'm going to play an entire season of Ohio State basketball, never being on ESPN.

Ever? Like, this is our new reality? And where are our games? And what time are these tip-offs? Like, he talked about this when this thing first happened.

It's been interesting talking about some tough times for these Buckeyes.

But, hey, as we mentioned on the outset, Buckeye basketball tonight, 9 o'clock, playing at a ranked team.

Are they playing at BYU or at the – No, it's at the Delta Center.

The Delta Center.

I will.

It's been fun talking about it.

I know it's been a rough weekend for us Buckeyes, but hopefully they'll dig themselves out and still be right there where they need to be come December.

Thanks for taking the time with me.

Yeah.

Do you actually really like this Ohio State team, Riley?

Yeah, I do.

I mean, I'm a big fan of Justin Pippen, and I like Anthony Thompson a lot.
