It ended up passing unanimously through the Ohio House and the Ohio Assembly, and the governor, Mike DeWine, signed the bill and the legislation.

So I was able to do a little bit, you know, For other people that have to come before, that'll report after me.

So that's one thing I look back on satisfaction is I was able to do something, albeit, you know, make it easier for the next guy that comes along that has to report this.

Wade, yes.

And when the law was passed by the Ohio General Assembly and signed by the governor, it was immediately enjoined.

In other words, an injunction was issued by a federal court saying it could not go into effect.

The federal court was applying the law of the land, which was Roe versus Wade.

this is something that is a little bit of a soapbox for me.

Right.

The Ohio General Assembly made it hard on them to do their homework.

Yes.

They're not opening up their books.

So there is a law working its way through the General Assembly, the Ohio General Assembly.

it's kind of kind of cute name it's called uh take the dough we gotta know uh in order to follow through with some accountability like if we're a public school and we're taking public tax dollars and we're very open and transparent with our books so should school so should private schools that are taking public tax dollars show us where the money's going open for audits five-year forecasts

So I've kind of worn all the hats around this.

As you noted, I served in the Ohio General Assembly, was elected twice before Governor Kasich asked me to chair the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, as well as the Ohio Power Sighting Board.

which regulated the public utilities in the state as well as was responsible for siting for power and transmission infrastructure of electric and gas in Ohio.

And then I worked at a law firm working on utility regulation, reliability, and infrastructure development with independent power producers, many of the people I work with now, actually.
