Ohio Express

Oh, I just grabbed it.

I was looking for an album to buy, and I grabbed my Best of the Ohio Express

and other, let me just get it.

Hold on.

Breaks the sausage, I hope.

I've had this other compilation since about 94.

It's the best of the Ohio Express and other bubblegum smashes.

It has all the Ohio Express bubblegum hits.

because because i think don doesn't he's every every let he goes on here's another i got some other i got some other bad news for you or there was some line he would say you know and it's like god by the time

you're done it's like dude and the other thing is not god i forgot his name the uh ohio express member

oh yeah ohio express is good though

okay here's the deal so The little nugget they got sitting in the band is a guy that had two hit records of his own, right? With the Ohio Express.

And I hope in the longer show they get into the legacy of bands like the Ohio Express and 1910 Fruit Gun Company.

And we've talked to Frank from 1910 about this bubblegum legacy that they embrace because it's the truth.

Yes.

We agreed to disagree with Brian on that one.

And by the way, yummy, yummy, yummy, that was the Ohio Express.

And by the way, we got two calls on that.

People were saying, that is terrible.

He was the rhythm guitarist for the 1960s garage rock group Atomic.

Ohio Express.

They had a huge hit back in the day called Yummy, Yummy, Yummy.

I got love in my tummy.

The interior of that sleeve runs down each song in the Saturday morning cartoon that it was taken from.

More Sugar, actually Sweeter Than Sugar is the name of the song from the Ohio Express album called Mercy, released back in that year of 1969.

That year might be the pinnacle of the bubblegum era.

What do you think? Okay, let's head back a decade and grab a coffee and a brew.

Okay.

It was by the Ohio Express.

The Ohio Express? Yeah.

What was the song? Oh, my gosh.

Is it as corny as it sounds? It wasn't yummy, yummy, yummy.

And I do know the answer.

This first one is called Yummy Yummy Yummy by Ohio Express.

[laughs]

Boy, I don't think I know that one.
