Why was that important to say, the less than $20 million from VCs, on your LinkedIn about this?

It's a very interesting question.

Actually, I wrote it, uh, years ago, so I don't, I can't tell you I remember exactly, but what's was different at the time when I, when I built that, it's a rather unusual sum, relatively low to a technology company that got to this scale.

What happened with us is that we built a company.

I hate the name CloudEndure, by the way.

I invented the name CloudEndure.

I, I looked for a, an open, a dot com domain and looked for a whole bunch of names.

Do you see yourself being an angel investor for the rest of your career?

And for some of the data, they didn't even know exist.

It was, it was locked.

Why was it locked? Because there are multiple business unit owners across the same company.

And let's say, uh, uh, you're a data team leader in, in some company, and you, uh, are based in San Francisco, or we're now here, uh, in New York, and both have different business unit, uh, uh, uh, leaders.

And now, there's this thing called AI, and even the boss is playing with ChatGPT, so the CEO and the share- and the board and the shareholders, they all understand that AI is real.

So they're coming to you, and they tell you, uh, uh, "Elad, um, we have a lot of data in the organization.

Mm

No, no,

no. He's the best.

He's going to be a CEO of Fortune One company.

You're training him already.

I don't believe that one demise by a hack would be someone else's opportunity.

Think not just companies, but also nations.

And think China versus the United States, not just companies.

And think the open source world versus all those significant companies.

So it's a really good question whether all the stakeholders, including open source contributors, will actually go and look at this as a problem.

And you're already seeing, you know, we're focused on backup and we started seeing in the last few months, just last few months, not before, A significant amount of people I'm speaking with tell me either my company or personally, I created a software that deleted data, an agent that deleted data from production that they didn't intend to.

Do you think that the infrastructure build right now is overestimating or underestimating how much demand there will be for AI?

Mm-hmm.

And because we're building our own software stack, software only, it's not gonna cost you a dime.

It's actually cheaper than building it on your own or using existing cloud technologies to do that.
