Offensive coordinator

I think Detroit's still got some work to do on their defense.

You know, their offense, they've got a – is the OC, he's a first year there? For Detroit? For Detroit.

Yeah, so, you know, we're probably going to see a little bit of adjustment there.

And I'm sure Campbell is probably going to keep his thumb on the scale a little bit more out of the gate and have that OC kind of earn it.

Yeah, Carson Wentz, when he came in, it was just like, this dude's going to manage the offense.

He fits more of what KOC wants to do because, as we talked about when they signed Kyler Murray, Kyler Murray hasn't played under center a lot.

He damn sure hasn't run a lot of stretch and boot action off of that.

Not that he couldn't, but, man, it's just kind of the perfect storm for Carson Wentz or a.k.a. Kirk Cousins 2.0 to come in.

He did not look good last night in the offensive play calling for the Broncos didn't look good.

As a matter of fact, to take it a step further, Sean Payton already called his OC and his quarterback out after one game.

I, we have unbelievable coaches, coach Pritchard, you know, obviously Colin plays as a head coach, Terry Heffernan, our OC and Brian Lindgren, our quarterback coach, Brian Lindgren was an OC, you know, at Michigan state and Oregon state before this for, for a long time.

And so we're fortunate to have him as our quarterback coach.

So I, I view my role as, you know, not, not a quarterback coach at all.

Um, in terms of the schematic changes they've made as well, of course, the head coach As it is now, was the offensive coordinator and I think that they were scared to potentially lose Joe Brady and thought he was more valuable as head coach than their previous head coach, which is why they fired the old guy.

Joe Brady comes up, they bring in Pete Carmichael to run as OC underneath him.

Obviously, a long-tenured guy, offensive coordinator at the Saints, then the head coach, it didn't really work out there.

And I guess touching back on the two that you said, Alan and Lamar.

Well, Lamar's won two MVPs from every time he has a new head coach, new OC.

So a new offensive coordinator, Declan Doyle, this year.

Why can't he do it again? He sort of feels like a guy who just, when he gets a chip on his shoulder, he just is a cheat code.
