Off-Campus series

Okay, great.

Okay, so you know Off Campus?

Yes, I'm aware.

Okay, before the woman who wrote Off Campus wrote Off Campus, she co-wrote, or maybe after, I don't know.

I don't, I simply didn't check the publishing dates.

[laughs]

So I have watched a lot of the genres that I read, these kind of romance ones.

So, I mean, I could list about 15, but a couple that I want to talk, the one big one, and I know you guys haven't watched this, Off Campus.

They made a TV series on Amazon Prime called Off Campus, and it's from Elle Kennedy.

If you've heard of her, she's a sports, you know, she's a romance author, but she did this sports romance series um these characters she has this whole universe so i was nervous they did tv show and i thought it was amazing it is so good and i think what helps it is the acting is really good the music's good they don't totally stay on book you know they had a couple uh things that went viral with the show a couple scenes they added um put in side characters a little more in the show than the book

well they did this similar situation heated rivalry though because they took aspects of book one but really they incredibly wrong and they really took the bulk of the season of A Heat of Rivalry for book two and then added book one into it.

I know, but I better spend my time reading.

It's so good, though, if you just need a little thing to watch.

So just giving you an example off campus, I would say it's a yes for me, even though it's a little bit different.

about some of them for sure.

Were you fans of off campus? Did you get sucked into the

vortex? I mean, and I say this to Elise, Off Campus has the most beautiful cast I've ever seen in my life.

And it doesn't matter if you like those books or you didn't like those books or you had no idea that it even was a book.

Like, you just look at these people and you're like, whoa.

So that has been really fun for me.

We definitely took inspiration from something like Off Campus and translating that into the young adult space.

where you get to know this cast of characters and sort of dig deeper into each of them in each book and see what's going on for them and watch them get there happily

ever after.

Of course.

Amazon adapted this into the Prime video series Off Campus, which premiered on May 13th, 2026.

And the tone here is decidedly TVMA.

We are talking language, locker room scenarios and a full embrace of the new adult publishing contract.

Prime reported 36 million viewers worldwide in under two weeks.

I cannot overstate how massive that is.

To put that in perspective, that made Off Campus Prime's third biggest series debut ever.

Third biggest.

Yeah.

And I think like the mix of like knowing that Off Campus was coming out also while I was reading Love Song, it all just felt very exciting.

So I really enjoyed that.

It kind of went back to that bantery-ness that we got in the original Off Campus series.

Yeah.
