Oedipus

And that was The Doctor by Robert Icke.

In 2018, which we failed to mention, his Oedipus appears for the first time and then does come to Edinburgh this year.

It appeared he did it for the Tunnel Group for the Dutch company in Amsterdam.

That led to him actually going to work there for some time.

Lesley Manville remains the busiest actor on either side of the Atlantic.

You wrapped a legendary run of Oedipus on Broadway.

You have the Joel Cohn-directed Jack of Spades coming up, an Amazon comedy series, a narrative podcast version of Bram Stoker's Dracula.

When do you find time to sleep and what is next for you?

Jen and I, my colleague and I, were to see her in...

Oedipus.

Oedipus, yeah.

And as we walked in, Jen didn't really know that much about the plot of Oedipus and we'd been really looking forward to it because Leslie Manville, I mean, I love Mark Strong, but we really were there for Leslie Manville.

And as we walked in, there was a sign that said that Oedipus's mother would be played by somebody else.

And I went, oh, no! I was like, what the hell? And Jen was like, what? And she said, but she doesn't play like Oedipus' mother.

So I was all right after that, but I had spoiled the entire play for Jen.

That's great.
