Ocean Shores

You love it every week, and we know you do because of all the entries that we get every single time we give you a quiz question.

Last week, we asked you about Ella Langley's hit, "Choosin' Texas." It's now been the number one hit in America for a record 24 weeks, and the question was: What iconic Christmas hit did it dethrone? Here's our winner, David, from Ocean Shores, Washington, with the answer.

The song Ella beat out was Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You".

I did go to a conference, an NA conference, actually, with about 3,000 people for three days.

It's called Clean and Free by the Sea out in Ocean Shores, Washington.

I learned a lot from the NA groups, AA groups, and the 12 steps that were over 90 years old and still working.

And yet I talked to people where they're like, Oh, you know, they kind of downplay the 12 steps.

And the next encounter was, I think it's about 2017, 2018.

I was in Washington State, just been to the Sasquatch Summit in Ocean Shores.

And we asked Johnny, who runs the summit there, any recent Bigfoot sightings.

And because myself and Brooklyn tend to go out on a Saturday night for a couple of hours because there is a known Bigfoot area there.

And he said it's solid activity for a couple of weeks in this one spot.

So we went a couple of miles out from Ocean Shores, parked up, walked down this small logging road.

It wasn't very wide at all.

And we start doing the tree knocking, whoops.

And I thought that was kind of cool, I guess.

I went to Ocean Shores with my best friend at the time and we had a half gallon of tequila, which we polished off.

My other friend came and met up with us and she had a dab pen with her.

And I'll talk more about this when I talk about drugs, but I hadn't smoked in a long time.

But, um, wow, I, I've heard so many weird things from the, I mean, Ocean Shores.

I'm sure you're familiar with that.

There's so many strange things over in Ocean Shores and-

I saw a gray one there.

Really?

In Ocean Shores.

Oh, can you share that?

And so many elections, there's multiple elections that have happened recently where the final deciding factor was one vote or two votes for local elections.

And when you look back and you look at those communities, I've gone in, there was an Ocean Shores city council race that was determined by one vote.

And I found 10 people who live there that just forgot to vote Or they put their vote, their ballot in and didn't realize the post office, it was too late for the post office to pick up or whatever it was.

And that would have made a big change on the Ocean Shore City Council.
