But for some reason, that same information did not get to us in Accra.

You know, part of our role is that we need to examine the administrative lapses and why the municipal director and the regional director and others in the chain of command within the GES system knew this- And yet we did not become aware of it until the documentary came.

There is a part of it that has to do with politics, but I don't know how, uh, that should even come in, in the first place.

Uh, we have seen the MC of Obuasi, the mayor of Kumasi, and there's also the MC of, uh, Obuasi East who went some meeting, I think in the, the story will get full details of that when the full documentary airs.

But this man, we are told, is the Dwaben constituency secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress, the NDC.

The headmaster? The headmaster.

But that has not happened.

So I even called the regional, um, director of education of the Ashanti Region and started asking, "I have heard that some of the teachers who stood up for these girls have been victimized.

They have received calls from the, uh..." I'm told Obuasi East, uh, director of education was part of the committee, that, uh, they hel- held a meeting, and that meeting was communicated to them and, um, I mean, they, they, they said the outcome of the investigation was what was communicated to them, and some of them will be made to leave the school, and afterwards they started receiving calls that they should leave the...

'Cause when some of them called me, I said, "Ask them for written letters.
