Obstacle course racing

Certainly something to look at in terms of how we can provide support.

I think longer term, I think back to things like Obstacle Race magazine, where they did deals.

I feel like it was like £90 for a year and you got the magazines, but you also got... a couple of events as well as part of that.

So again, these are things that with the right structures, I'd love to be able to offer from a British obstacle sports perspective as well.

So smaller independents also need to consider how do we club together, for example, to offer kind of similar opportunities.

So I think there's definitely, there's definitely something there.

And actually I think Spartan are pretty open, as an organisation to those I remember Spartan was one of the tickets on that obstacle race magazine so even back then they used to do it as well they're open to kind of initiatives like that too

very much so yeah and I do think there was one in the Midlands many years ago I think it was like £100 for three races or something like that I mean, we might never ever go back to that.

chris so how did you first get into it then we'll kind of go around around the room

Well, really, we were all into OCR races, obstacle course races.

Me getting in the ultras was just shortly before I met Evie.

But my brother and I had been running, James and I had been running obstacle course races for a few years.

I had been, I've been a runner most of my life, running marathons or half marathons, 5Ks, things like that.

And after we got into OCRs, There was an event there called BFX, which is a battle for all.

They had like their long version of their race was called BFX.

I think it was like an eight hour event.
