Seven Fairfax County playgrounds are getting a makeover this fall.

The Fairfax County Park Authority says the work will improve accessibility and add new amenities at parks in Oakton, Lincolnia, Centerville, and Springfield, plus two playgrounds at Burke Lake Park.

Those playgrounds will be closed while crews work, with most projects finished by December.

Most of the money comes from bond referendums, and voters this fall will decide on another $180 million for park projects.
