A Chicago sports tradition is celebrating 30 years.

Tonight is the Chicago 16-inch softball Hall of Fame dinner at Drury Lane and Oak Brook Terrace.

The annual event is honoring the class of 2026, 18 inductees and nine historic teams.

Well, sports is next and Mark is here with.

As the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals later explained, quote, a hole in one is quite a thrill because it happens so infrequently.

But Andy's chances were close to 100 percent because his father was mayor of Oak Brook Terrace, Illinois, and the mayor's support was needed for a bond offering to finance an apartment complex to be built by Robert Krillich, who sponsored the contest, pulled the ball out of the hole and became the defendant in this criminal case.

Krilic and Mayor Serraio agreed to use the golf tournament as the vehicle for a payoff.

Krilic palmed one of Andy's golf balls, put his hand in the cup, and displayed the ball, which you have to admit is a pretty creative way to deliver a bribe.

And, you know, we talk about our office space here in Oak Brook.

And so he's a staple of Chicago.

And he's a well, he was always a well-respected individual.

Can I hit a few of these high points on the Ditka's Oak Brook Terrace menu? I know this restaurant is no longer in operation, but good Lord, did this man know how to put together a menu? The Rhode Island calamari, the jumbo shrimp cocktail, Coach's pot roast nachos, cheddar jack, pickled jalapeno, sour cream, tomato scallion.

Well, I love this question.
