Nzingha Prescod

Yet, nothing brings me more joy than to talk with one of those young people, someone who is already using her gifts, her talents, and her accomplishments to change the world for the better.

I am therefore over the moon today to talk to two-time Olympian, world champion, and four-time senior world medalist in fencing, Nzingha Prescod.

Nzingha became the first Black woman to win an individual medal at the Senior World Championships when she claimed bronze in 2015.

In July of 2018, she and her team captured Team USA's first ever World Championships gold medal for USA foil, and she is the first American woman to win a foil Grand Prix.
