Nykesha Sales

Um, but little by little, as it grew, the, the feeling, you know, between me and Chris, Chris Dailey, the feeling was, "Man, we're winning games, and these guys ain't the best players.

If we can start recruiting the best players," like Rebecca Lobo and, and then Nykesha Sales, who were national players of the year.

I said, "If we can do this with this, I think if we can get those kinds of players, we can, we can be really good.

And then we can get the hell out of here, Chris.

We were all just kind of quiet and waiting.

And it actually was Nykesha Sales, who, by the way, another player that didn't get talked about much in the doc, but was incredibly pivotal in, in terms of, like, the story of UConn.

So it was Nykesha Sales who happened to be there that day.

She had already graduated, but she would come back from time to time and practice with us.

She happened to be there that day.

She was the one that went under the bleachers and finally got Coach Auriemma to come out.

And anybody who knows Kyke knows she went in there with a, "Yo, Coach, you okay, yo?" And somehow, somehow it worked.

Okay.
