Nursery Cryme

We're gonna hear one track each from his first three albums with Genesis, and then we'll hear the interview.

And that first album that he did with them was called Nursery Cryme from 1971.

Here is The Musical Box on Raised on Rock.

[singing] Play me Old King Cole.

[upbeat music] Ah

Ah[upbeat music] You're listening to Raised on Rock, and that was track one from Steve Hackett's first three albums with Genesis.

Dancing with the Moonlit Night from Selling England by The Pound, 1973, Watcher of the Skies from Foxtrot, 1972, and from the 1971 Nursery Cryme album, The Musical Box.

And now you'll hear my chat with guitarist extraordinaire Steve Hackett here on Raised on Rock.

I'll get mine now.

Because I... didn't hear this album until after I'd heard Nursery Crime and Foxtrot and Sending In By The Pound, because I sort of discovered Genesis at roughly 1973.

During the 70s, Trespass definitely was not, in my view, as good as those other albums.

But as the decades have rolled on by, this album for me has matured like a fine wine And I'm in Andy's camp and Antonio's camp.

I absolutely adore this album.

I like it.

I would probably enjoy it more than Nursery Crime now, which was never the case in the 70s.

We've done three of these so far.
