Nuclear family

OK, this is this is the post here.

Imagine the next 250 years abolish the nuclear family.

All right? They're saying that the nuclear family is a structure built to preserve capitalism.

Women's, queer, and indigenous liberation aren't possible unless it's treated as something to abolish, not a given.

And the title is Abolish the Nuclear Family.

This is not a random activist.

This is their publication.

And I think about what the Democrats have said about our shared birthright as Americans, or frankly, the lack thereof.

In Michigan, One Democrat in particular, one candidate has said, and I quote, F the nuclear family.

That's what they're like.

F the nuclear family.

What are you even talking about? These hateful words come not from a love of country.

They come not from a desire to serve you or our fellow Americans, but they come from a very deep emptiness in the soul.

It is the nuclear family.

Well, sure.

I mean, look, the nuclear family, a father, a mother, and their children are the backbone of any healthy society, certainly this society.

It's what built this society.

You know, what's fascinating is you can look to the proof in the Black population because it's so fascinating because prior to the Civil Rights Act, you know, you had two societies, and it was horrible, of course, with, with Jim Crow, and of course, the Democrats were the champions of this.

I don't know what his point is.

I mean, he seems to be upset that I'm pointing out a reality that demographically, um, you know, the Black community is, um, in a situation that, uh, isn't akin to other groups in this country, and it's because of welfare, and it's because of what the Democrat Party has done to that community.

Um, you don't see, you know, the nuclear family demise to the extent in other, any other demographic group than the Black community.

And so I'm here actually defending Blacks and, and, uh, and that community in particular, and calling attention to the oppression that they face in the modern day, and here's somebody who wants to come back with some ignorant rhetoric about it.

So here's Andrew's tweet about this.

In tweets, he repeatedly took aim at the nuclear family home, writing, "F isolation and the nuclear family domicile," calling the nuclear family an isolating, individualistic, violent way of organizing society.

"I don't want to be a part of that," he wrote.

Lawrence argued that the heteropatriarchal nuclear family is a material foundation of wealth accumulation because inheritance was concentrated through male family lines, while writing that queer families create material conditions for solidarity and wealth sharing, adding, "But y'all ain't ready for that convo," which I feel totally ready for that convo.

Yeah, I'm glad to that ...

You, you should have that convo on the trail.

It was late in my high school years and had a wonderful life.

wonderful nuclear family kind of situation going on.

Dad was a deacon in the church and CEO of the Children's Hospital of Baltimore.

My mom was a nurse.

It's what God's called for us.

So let's go remind people of that.

Speaking of David Brooks, and I may have mentioned this before, but he wrote an article in The Atlantic called The End of the Nuclear Family.

And I use the word culture, you use the word culture.

Then you have David Harbour saying the quiet part out loud.

Guy from Stranger Things bemoaning the idea of the nuclear family.

Talk about a champagne socialist.

We'll get to that.

But of course, it shouldn't be found like we have a problem in the United States.

We have a problem.

It's the nuclear family because that's capitalist.

Oh, sounds exactly like Black Lives Matters or Karl Marx.

I'm going to realize my greatest dream.

And he animates all these people and he calls them the nuclear family.

And it's like a man, a woman, and three kids and a dog.

And they've all got 1950s looking kind of attire, but with kind of like a... also like a sort of retro future spacey

Jetsons-y yeah because the husband if you want to call him that's got like a hat and a tie but he's got like a white suit that's got like a red stripe going down the side of it so it's got a little bit of a future-y vibe mixed with like old school family and it's like yeah Los Angeles is going to get attacked by nuclear family which I have to admit like an evil family called the nuclear family I think it's actually a pretty fun name for a group of villains

it's so good

And you and the baby and me, we'll just like, we'll form this perfect belief.

He calls it the nuclear family.

Yeah.

That instead of, of being like, well, what I could do is, is teleport just some random other person, hopefully put the fly in them and you know, whatever.
