My brief bio about Nils claimed that he's the pioneer of future jazz.

And again, that was just on the wiki page that I was reading.

I was reading some information about Nils and one of the critics pioneered him, the pioneer of future jazz.

So I'm not sure that the year 2000 we're into the future jazz just yet, but I like it anyways.

I mean, it's a good term, future jazz.

He was a sideman on several other ECM recordings before 1997 and his first solo release of Khmer.
